Yesterday evening saw the opening of the ceremony for the tennis tournament Palić Open. The tournament organizer, Tennis Club Palić 1878, awarded the lovers of the "white sport" with a special treat organizing a tournament with the prize of USD 50,000. In this way, the Palić tournament has become the largest professional tennis tournament for women in Serbia. On the same day the main part of the tournament started, the first seed being Tereza Hladikova from the Czech Republic. Among the favorites was Ana Jovanović from Serbia, our FED cup national team member, the second seed of the Palić Open.

Twenty-eight artists from Serbia and the republics of former Yugoslavia ended their participation at the 9th Art colony in Palić by opening an exhibition of their paintings "Colored tones" in the gallery of the Open university on July 25th. The following artists from Bosnia and Herzegovina presented their paintings: Ðorde Gavrić (painter, musician, and writer living in Detroit, USA), Miladin Lukić, Danijela Stankić, Lejla Ramić and Zdravko Mićanović. Artists from Croatia also took part in the event: Ljiljana Ajduković, Rada Zalaj Zekić and Nevenko Letić; from Montenegro Nenad Ražnatović, an architect, attended the event, as well as Jasmina Rojc from Slovenia, student of the first year of the Art Academy in Venice....
